About

Four products, one workshop.

Makrr is an independent software studio. We build products end to end — the interface, the API behind it, the schema under that, and the deploy pipeline that puts the whole thing live — and then we keep running them.

The four have almost nothing in common on the surface. FormEmailAPI is infrastructure a developer wires into their own site. MakeSongGift is a gift somebody buys once, for one person. DeepMaker is a set of tools people open, use for ninety seconds and close. GoodPDF is an application that lives in a Mac's dock for years.

What they share is how they're made: small, self-contained, owned outright, running on infrastructure we can reason about — and shipped by the same people who answer the mail about them.

How we work

Three things we hold to.

  1. 01

    Small on purpose.

Four products is not a stepping stone to forty. Each one is scoped so that it can actually be finished, and then maintained for years by the people who wrote it. A product we can't keep is a product we shouldn't have started.

  2. 02

The person who wrote it answers the mail.

There is no support tier, no ticket routing, no first-line script. A bug report lands in front of someone who can read the stack trace and change the code — which is the shortest path a bug report can take.

  3. 03

Shipping is not the finish line.

Every product here is still running, still getting changes, still on a domain we own. Nothing in this list has been launched and abandoned, and nothing is a concept page waiting on a signup list.
